Good day HCI community.

I have done several large HCI installations in the past but I have not come across this error yet so early in the deployment.

Basically after hitting deploy cluster comes up with this error.

capture

Has anyone seen this before?

Best regards,

Hedde

Hedde,

Licenses in HCI are only valid to be installed within a year of when they are created. Since 1.3.1 released over a year ago, that means the trial license that ships with it is no longer valid.

The solution is to upload a newer license (I'm sure PM would be glad to provide one), or to install a newer version of HCI.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Jared, that makes sense.

We will opt to get a new license, however during installation there is no option to reveal the system ID or upload a new license.

How would we go about this?

Hedde,

You should be able to apply a new license via REST or admin CLI. There is a /license endpoint, that will include the cluster ID in the response. Then you can upload to /licenses/upload. You can execute the REST APIs via the REST Help UI as well. The easiest way to do this is probably to navigate to the REST Help and copy the URL from one of your installed clusters, and replace the cluster name.

Hope this helps,
