May I know if we would encounter problems if we are going to upgrade our old HDID Version 5.2.0 into 6.5 version and whether there should be considerations for this plan before its implementation?

Here are our procedure for the implementation:

Step 1: Upgrading our HDID Version 5.2. to 5.5

Upgrade Path to 5.5

Step 2: Upgrading our HDID Version 5.5. to 5.5.2

Upgrade Path to 5.5.2

Step 3: Upgrading our HDID Version 5.5.2 to 6.5

Upgrade Path to 6.5

Another question, if we upgrade from vesion 5.2 to 6.5, does our old data backup files generated by version 5.2 can still be readable and recoverable by version 6.5?

Hoping to receive feedback from the technical experts here in the community.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Donnovan

Hello

Make sure that the features you use are available in the new version. There has been some feature changes.

From my experiance I can tell you that I woulld work my way up to the latest version in the 5 family. Ten go to 6, it's latest version supported in that family and then to 7. There are a number of Backend database changes in the new version.

From a backup point of view. It might also be good to do a snapshot and a backup of your Master Server Settings. So that you could restore it if it goes wrong. Having snapshots of the ISM's as well to ensure that should something you could roll back.

On the knowledgebase you can find some information about backing up the Master Settings file:
