I am using Step Memory Group by for Pentaho v8 DI. In "Aggregates" I added an Average type value, but it is returning a Integer not a Number type, so it is excluding decimals. On Pentaho v5 DI the output type for same step is Number.
Do you know how to change thar behavior?

In my situation, when the incomming field is a number the average is a number. When the incomming field is an integer the average is an integer
Try to use a Select Values before grouping, and change field data type to bigNumber in metadata tab.
I used Select Values to use Number instead Integer and it worked fine.
