 Trouble adding HDD to HUS110

Hello Team,

When I added SAS 900GB disk for HUS110, an error occurred as follows:

 

W094ZZ HDU alarm(Unit-00,HDU-08,Type-Unknown)                        :HDU  /STRC

IY1900 Unsupported HDU was detected(Unit-00,HDU-08)                     :HDU  /STRC W094ZZ HDU alarm(Unit-00,HDU-17,Type-Unknown)                        :HDU  /STRC

I6G200 The read of the drive signature failed(Unit-00,HDU-17,Code-00)            :HDU  

 

Please help me fix it and show me how to view the firmware of the drive?

What level firmware are you running? Have you tried reseating those drives? If the errors repeat after reseating them, then the drives are faulty (and/or they've lost their factory information), and need to be replaced.

If the system is under Hitachi's support, I'd recommend opening a case.

Hello Roberto Seldner,

My current firmware version is 0980/P-W. I also tried upgrading to some newer versions like 0986 / A-W; 0988 / D-W but the result is the same. HUS110 is out of support, so I can't open a case.

I see the firmware version of the faulty drive on SNM2 is GCGC, and the drive of the same type being assigned on the system is 6F10. Is there any difference between these 2 versions?

Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks for your support.
