This kind of problem requires more detail. Are you able to post catalina.out file from your tomcat/logs folder for the server when you tried to run the report? Could you post the prpt file with static data? That is a very odd problem that I have never seen before. Make sure that your Pentaho 8.2 is running on Java 8. Not sure how compatible it is with later versions of Java.
