The some other ways I'm familiar with:

• You con configure alerting to you straight from the array using SNMP(I believe SMTP as well, havent used SMTP on the array though for some time).
• You can also see the alerts in Hitachi Ops Center Administrator
• You can poll the alerts in Hitachi Ops Center Administrator using the REST API
• You can also query the alerts in CMREST.

You can configure SNMP, SMTP, and Syslog forwarding directly on each storage system. See the System Administration Guide for whichever model you are working with.
