 Incomparable types "java.util.Date" and "java.lang.String"

I am trying to run a trf in 8.2 and its throwing error Incomparable types "java.util.Date" and "java.lang.String". The same trf in 4.2 went thr fine.

Any idea any inputs greatly appreciated.

Could you provide us with some more details. Maybe a screenshot of you transformation, a lot has changed between 8.2 and 4.2 so with some more information we might be able to help.

When I was migrating from 6.1 to 8.x I realized that Pentaho refined the way they handle meta data.

I faced such error where it was working fine in lower version and giving error in higher.

Check data type properly.
