I had a different problem with Saiku CE, latest from marketplace which should be your same version, and Pentaho 8.0.

My problem was I did not see any folder at all and this topic helped me

But, if you actually see some folders, it might be a different problem. How about security. Is it a vanilla configuration?

Yes, my problem is different. I see only folders home, public and etc but not subfolders. I've tried to modify .jar files from the /saiku/lib as your topic recommends but the problem is not solved.

The thing is that I installed SAIKU manually (I downloaded the zip file and put in directly in ../pentaho-server/pentaho-solutions/system/saiku). I don't know if it can be the reason...

I installed the plugin the very same way, manual unzip + added license.

I would investigate in different ways:

- acls (can you save a cde dashboard in the folders you don't see from saiku?)

- any error in pentaho.log / catalina.out to get any additional clues

- developer console in chrome browser to see any javascript error while retrieving folder tree

I have the same errors in catalina.out (I wasn't aware of those actually :-D ) and the ca.json produces a 404.

But when I click on folders in the save as dialog I do not see any error in the javascript console. I just see an http request (see the pictures). Do you have that one?

Anyway, I don't know what to do next...

Do you mind to list the content of your pentaho-solutions/system/saiku/lib folder? Just to check if any component is different in my installation.

Thanks Virgilio,

I realized that you have in your installation Saiku plugin version 3.15

I've tried to change Saiku in my installation from version 3.9 to version 3.15 (updating cpf and cpk jar files) and now it works!

It looks that something is not working in version 3.9.

I FINALLY found the solution to this one, which I had tried to solve once in a while over the past few years.  This issue is easily confused with needing to copy the cpf-core, etc... files into saiku/lib, but is different.  In that one, users just get " loading..." without showing any folders... In this issue, only " root"  folders can be seen.  To fix, check some of the settings in  saiku/ui/js/saiku/Settings.yaml.  Namely check you REPOSITORY_LAZY and EXTENDED_REPOSITORY_RESOURCE settings and restart....

.  Working on 8.2 CE with latest saiku ce plugin.

REPOSITORY_LAZY 

EXTENDED_REPOSITORY_RESOURCE

I should change them from false to true?

Hello Mireya,

Yes, set both to true. It fixed the problem for me on 8.3 CE with Saiku 3.90.
