Hello - I'm looking for information on the nature of the 800K 800 Mil objects per node limit on HCP.

Is it a guideline/soft limit or a technically enforced hard limit ?

What actually happens when the object count reaches 800K 800 Mil x #nodes ?

Without the HCP Acceleration Option, the object number maximum is 800 million (not thousand) per node. With the HCP Acceleration Option the maximum is 1.25 billion objects per node. As you add more objects HCP services (e.g. Garbage Collection, Content Validation) take longer. When exceeding these limits, the HCP services may not be able to keep up with the number of objects in the system. If you expect to exceed 800 million objects per node, you should use the HCP Acceleration Option to ensure that services do not fall behind.
