Knowing the solution for this issue would help us to move forward with latest edition of PDI. We got blocked with this issue and unable to use Pentaho Kafka Consumer.

First of all, sorry for the late reply: these last few weeks have been busy for me :-)

 

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the Kafka Consumer.

The only thing that comes to my mind is the JDK. Specially on this last version, plenty of people have been having troubles because of it.

The list of supported JDKs can be seen here: https://help.pentaho.com/Documentation/9.0/Setup/Components_Reference#Java_virtual_machine

Please check if the one you're using is there.

Yes, I am using the recommended Java version by Pentaho. If you don't have any experience with Kafka Consumer part. Could you please direct me whom I could get connected with in Pentaho Community front / JIRA project url for raising a issue on Pentaho Kafka / Big data plugin ?
