Vijay, if you're on a linux machine, unzip or gunzip will work, if installed.

Thanks Kevin. i have Kettle installed on windows 2016 machine and looking for a way to unzip the .gz files using kettle functions.

Vijay, I've not been able to get the latest PDI running on windows 10, but when I used it last on linux, the code would make a call to the OS. So for windows, can you do the same and use winzip or 7zip?Thanks. Kevin
