Hi all, I am using DM2C of HNAS 4060 running 12.7 code to move some data to HCP G10 nodes. I would like to add that editing of these parameters required root access and should only be performed at the behest of GSC (Support). Please don't attempt to do this yourself. If you do wish to make this change, please work with support.
I have a question regarding HNAS EVS best practice. What is best practice when it comes to setting up CIFS? Do most HNAS customers setup one CIFS name per EVS, or do they setup several CIFS and than just manage the rights? Thanks .Cesar
Hi, I'm using the HNAS to present file shares. Is there any way that I can view the capacity of folders within a HNAS file system? I can view the file system capacity from the GUI, however is there any way, maybe via the CLI to view the capacity breakdown at a lower level? Thanks,
Agreed. Virtual Volumes would be the best step. A virtual volume is like a directory tree that is often created one level down from root. Once the Virtual Volume is in place, you will be able to track capacity for the directory tree. The only thing is that you have to do this ahead of time, you can't create a virtual volume on top of a directory…

If the primary site fails such that the GAD array in the secondary site loses access to both the primary array and the quorum at the same time, the SVols will be blocked (because the secondary array cannot know if it is the only healthy array, or if it is just network isolated from the other two arrays). You can recover access to the S-Vols by…
