I have an inquiry regarding management software for the VSP E Series, specifically the VSP E590. As I understand it, the VSP E590 does not include an SVP (Service Processor) physical server for hosting management software. However, I believe we can still use Hitachi Storage Navigator.
While the VSP E590 has built-in management capabilities through the Storage Embedded function, its features seem limited, particularly for tasks like Shadow Image replication. Is it possible to use Hitachi Storage Navigator as the primary management tool for these advanced functions? If so, can it be installed on a virtual machine (VM)?
