  • 1.  Issue while fetching Pentaho lib: code 503 from server: Service Unavailable

    Hello ,

    I have been using Pentaho lib for a while now and its working fine until I get 503 Error for one of the Pentaho lib 

     > Failed to list versions for org.apache.logging.log4j:log4j-api.
             > Unable to load Maven meta-data from https://repo.orl.eng.hitachivantara.com/artifactory/pnt-mvn/org/apache/logging/log4j/log4j-api/maven-metadata.xml.
                > Could not HEAD 'https://repo.orl.eng.hitachivantara.com/artifactory/pnt-mvn/org/apache/logging/log4j/log4j-api/maven-metadata.xml'. Received status code 503 from server
    : Service Unavailable

    I need help to resolve this issue ASAP.

    Hi,

    this is a problem of remote repository, you can not resolve on your side. You can use own repository manager, ex. Nexus, Artifactory and define proxy repository of Pentaho repo.

    I ran into this myself today trying to download a different file from repo.orl.eng.hitachivantara.com.

    I agree with @Petr Prochazka, running your own proxy is a best practice.

    When going to the repo.orl.eng.hitachivantara.com UI, I get an error message saying their license has expired. I would imagine that someone at Hitachi should already be aware of this and is working on updating their server license.
