    Posted 26 days ago

    Hi Pentaho Communites,

We have some questions as to where we can locate the repo for Maven Build. We are currently using 9.3.X.X and we noticed its EOL is coming June 2026.

We use Pentaho Data Integration (pentaho-kettle) as embedded engine for processing.

    1. Where can we find maven repository for pentaho-kettle? We used to be able to get them at this location ("https://repo.orl.eng.hitachivantara.com/ui/native/pnt-mvn/") but seems like no longer available? Is there anew location?  Looks like "https://hitachiedge1.jfrog.io/ui/packages" or "https://hitachiedge1.jfrog.io/" might be an option?
    2. What is the next version up for Community Edition? Is there 10.2.X available? Also where is the nexus repository available?
    3. If Community Edition is not available or no nexus repository available, what is the next option? Enterprise Edition? Does that have nexus repository for maven build purpose as embedded engine in Java?  The following are some sample classes being used in PDI CE:
      1. org.pentaho.di.trans.Trans
      2. org.pentaho.di.trans.TransMeta
      3. org.pentaho.di.core.KettleEnvironment
    4. Could there be architectural changes if use Enterprise Edition comparing to Community Edition?  That needs licensing correct?  What's the pricing like?

Can you let us know as we try to have a path forward? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Steve H.

    Hello @Steve Hsu

Pentaho has its code in GitHub.

Starting Pentaho 10.2, the former Community Edition is now called "Developer Edition" suitable to develop and expand your transformations in non-production environment and is under BSL license.

More details here Pentaho Developer Edition vs Enterprise Edition Comparison Sheet | Pentaho

The Enterprise version of Pentaho benefits from professional support and regular Service Pack updates with functional and security fixes. Last is extremely important nowadays and we strongly recommend getting in touch with our Sales representatives to understand which plan is best for your needs.

Additionally the Enterprise version has access to a richer plugins ecosystem: Pentaho Platform Software Plugins | Pentaho

Thank you for the the information.

We are able to pull the Community Edition dependencies off of (https://hitachiedge1.jfrog.io/ui/packages/).  Can you share with us where the Developer Edition dependencies are located if we were to integrate with 10.2.X.X?

Also, is there an email we can reach out to in regards to Enterprise Edition if we have further technical questions?

    Thanks

    Steve H.
