Many thanks to our Hitachi Data Systems San Francisco Bay Area volunteers who participated in our food sort activity at Second Harvest Food Bank February 12th.

Our team worked with other volunteers to box small “Cutie” oranges, filling 9 pallets with 50 boxes at 25 lbs for 11,250 pounds of oranges boxed in just over 1 hour of work.  Other groups boxed apples or sorted donated food into food group categories.  The work is always fast with laughter heard throughout the building as fun is had by all the volunteers. This activity is vitally important to providing food security to our local community.
