Scenario 1: Volume Allocation with Automatic Volume Labeling (24min 19sec)

  • Enhance functionality of the built-in Allocation Volumes with Configuration Manager REST API service template, which allocates volumes for Hitachi block storage.
  • When you have a naming rule of LDEV labels, specifying the labels manually is tedious and error-prune.
  • To resolve the issue, add a function to set LDEV labels automatically, which is needs to be specified by users in the built-in service template.
  • Make LDEV labels automatically by using host group name and host mode, and call CM REST API to set LDEV labels by using the JavaScript plug-in for Configure Manager REST API.
