Lumada is a Hitachi's core IOT Platform which is designed to foster IoT innovation and co-creation.
Pentaho is a unified data integration and analytics platform which is comprehensive, completely embeddable and delivers governed data to power any analytics in any environment.
In this blog I will give you a brief knowledge how to integrate Lumada with Pentaho.
In this blog we will be discussing about OT Devices, Lumada Core, Consumer Queue, REST API and MQTT Protocol.We will use MQTT Protocol to established connection between Lumada and Pentaho.
OT Devices : In this section we basically deals with smart OT Devices which contains many kind of sensors. These smart devices generates tons of data.With the help of Python SDK(Software Development Kit)
we send all those sensor data to the Lumada Core using REST API services.
Lumada Core : Lumada Core collects all the sensor data from our smart OT Devices into the json format and also plot real time graph. Lumada Core has ability to generate a digital Asset Avatar for our smart OT Device.
We can deal with real time data as well as Historical data in Lumada Core.
Pentaho : Pentaho is a data integration and analysis platform which play a very important role here in order to perform machine learning and data visualization into smart devices sensor data. Here we use MQTT Protocol to establish connection with Lumada Core. Pentaho has a plugin called MQTT Subscriber through which we can connect Lumada Core with Pentaho. After successful connection with Lumada Core we can perform Data Blending, Machine Learning and Data Visualization into Pentaho.

Consumer Queue : Consumer Queue is a component of Lumada Core which is used to store real time data of smart OT Devices.Here with the help of MQTT Protocol Pentaho consume real time data from Lumada Core.
Historical Database : Historical Database is a used to store Historical data of smart OT Devices and with the help of REST API Pentaho consume data from Lumada Core.
