The New Car Frontier - Nevada

Blog Post created by Lauren Klein Employee on Feb 11, 2016

I live in a state of Nevada which is a close neighbor to the great state of California.

Most often the roadways are easy to navigate but I do admit that I get energized when I think about how my life will change when I can slip into a self driving car and spend more time with my family in the car while enjoying the beautiful scenery.  I am very much looking forward to experience the beautiful design of the Golden Gate bridge out my car window some day.

I get fired up when I read about Faraday Unveils Amped-Up ‘Concept’ Electric Car - WSJ

or when  Tesla and Switch To Expand Reno Tech Sector - The Atlantic

or better yet  when Nevada serves as the location where Daimler, an international automotive leader, can explore and test the possibilities of its cutting-edge autonomous vehicle.

University of Nevada -Reno has an minor available in their Engineering school which will help to build out talent for the ecosystem.

It is such an exciting time to be working in cloud computing, mobile broadband and data technologies as we innovate around the concepts of public safety, location awareness and security.
