HDS has just released the latest version of the Storage Management Pack for vCenter Operations Manager and vRealize Operations manager.

This is a single download with binaries and dashboards that support both products in the same bundle. Just traverse to the relevant folder for either vCenter derivative.

  • vCenter Operations manager 5.8.4 and higher is supported.
  • vRealize Operations Suite 6.0.0 and 6.0.1 is also supported.

This management pack supports vSphere 6.0 and vCenter 6.0.

More on other supported products later this week after the announcements tomorrow at HDS Connect in Las Vegas.

Suffice it to say that if you check out the release notes you might see some interesting systems listed. I'll say no more Screen Shot 2015-04-27 at 10.21.07.png

You can download the packs from Just Search for Realize as above.

There is currently a browsing problem on VMware Solutions Exchange which VMware are working to resolve so if you need them is your best route right now.

Once you search you will see the following output:

So, you can test these really cool management pack using vCOps and vROps from the same distribution.

A lot of engineering effort was invested by Hitachi into making these packs great, out of the box, with detailed tactical information that will seriously reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) for customers running vSphere on HDS storage. For those not running vCenter Operations Manager or vRealize Operations Suite I suggest you get on that now. They really are superb, deep, powerful tools that require a bit of effort to customise to your requirements, but that effort will be paid back when you need it most.

it should be noted that HDS will be releasing a management pack to support our UCP Director fully converged platform around about July timeframe which will support the fully configured stack running on vSphere 6.

This will be the UCP Director 4.0 release.

Enjoy !
