While not actively disagreeing with the data used in this infographic, I think that it misses the mark by relying on "opinion" vs. fact.
- 58% say web articles are effective. (All web articles? Web articles on a branded or social site?)
- 62% say LinkedIn is the most effective social media platform. (Effective how? Views? Shares? Leads?)
- 91% of B2B companies use content marketing, proving 'content is king'. (All content? Any content? If almost everyone is doing the same things - does that justify the crown?)
It is hard to follow along with this data, because content is king, but it is also overrated, yet is still relevant.
The key takeaway: A deeper dive into the stats is indicated. The duality of overrated hype and relevance needs clarification.
But I will agree with this: "...good quality content reflects expertise, a good avenue for thought leadership and IT lead generation."
