There is a host that I can see in Storage Navigator but it can't be found in Command Suite. Any suggestions?
A host in Storage Navigator is really just a user created alias for a WWN. This information doesn't transfer to HCS.
You can register a host in HCS via 3 ways:
When a host is registered by options 1 & 2, you get information such as OS type, IP address, WWNs (automatically), and filesystem usage.
You need to add the host in HCS, it is not automatic.
There is one way. If you have already mapped volumes using Storage Navigator,
you can "discover hosts", this will get all your mappings from Storage Navigator.
If hostgroup names are same they will be classified as a host in HCS
Hi and thank you for your responses, they were very helpful.
We recently upgraded to HCS 8.4 and provided the agent to the Windows admins to upgrade the Device Manager Agents on their hosts.
Can you tell me if there is a way to determine which version of the Device Manager Agent the hosts are running?
It would be nice if the following screen showed which version of the agent the host were running.

Unfortunately, not from HCS. You have to get that information by logging into the hosts.
