Hello Everyone, I am trying to automate the hnas registry backup to one of the remote windows server. However, I am unable to do it.Could you please guide me the possible options that I can try for automating the backup.
you can script the "backupregistry" command with ssc.exe
but most of the links which i had referred says ssc.exe is a torjan file. System Security Checker - ssc.exe - Program Information
That link is referring to some potential malware that incidentally has the same initialization/filename.
In the context of HNAS, SSC is the Silicon Server Console (not system security checker as your link suggests), which allows you to send commands to the HNAS.
You must obtain it directly from your firmware/software disc, under the OS tool folders; not from a third party.
You can read about HNAS SSC in the Hitachi NAS Platform System Access Administration Guide MK-92HNAS014
It's worth noting that an external SMU periodically takes a backup of the registry, to stores in its own file system. So, with an external SMU, there is an existing remote registry backup.
