Hello. I have two GAD volumes that do not show up in pair status or in a consistency group through the GUI's, but when I perform a pairdisplay on the CCI severs they are listed as in PAIR status and in the group. Any ideas why?
Was the pair relationship created via the GUI, or via CCI/raidcom? If it was done via CCI, does that pair management server have the Device Manager agent installed?
The pair was created along with the volumes using the Allocate Volumes wizard in HCS. Pairs created afterwards using this wizard seem okay and show up in both the GUI and CCI. The CCI servers do have Device Manager agent installed and the HBsA service is running.
This might be a long-shot, but are they in the correct virtual storage machine and/or a VSM which you have admin rights to?
Yes they're in the vsm....
Oddly enough, I unallocated a recent test volume and suddenly my two volumes in question are now showing their pair information in the GUIs. I'm not sure what happened but I'm going cross my fingers and try building some more GAD volumes to see if the issue returns.
Thanks for the help.
Never mind, they're back to before, the pair status is no longer visible from the GUI's. This is some really strange behavior, I'll probably have to open a support ticket.
Can you post a screenshot? Maybe there's something obvious, e.g. a filter that excludes GAD volumes is set.
Here's a screenshot after adding a test volume 3.
and another after checking in later after a refresh.
what the CCI servers see..
A problem we have with our command suite environment right now is our SSL is only half implemented, security cert isn't installed yet for the https address. Could that be an issue?
I don't think SSL would be related. Are the volumes 01:40 and 01:41 the ones that are GAD but not shown as such in HCS? Can you click on these volumes in HCS and share the screenshot of the Details popup?
I went ahead and opened a Service Request for this issue and will post back with any results.
check HDVM_agent version installed on pair-mgt-server - it must be the same than HCS (HDVM) version.
Had the the same issue unless I have upgraded HDVM Agent to 8.5.x (former 8.4.x) - after upgrade I had
to run "hdvmagt_setting" and afterwards my GAD status changed from UNKOWN to SYNC
