Is there a NFS share count limit on HNAS 4080? If yes, what is it. Is there some that we should be concerned about when we size NFS shares in terms of count of share per node.
The limit is 10,000 per cluster and this have increased to 20,000 in V13
That's not completely accurate, it is important to distinguish between NFS exports and CIFS (SMB) shares.
As of the HNAS 13.0 release the 4080 supports up to 10,000 NFS exports, or 20,000 CIFS shares. The maximum tested configurations are: a) 10,000 NFS exports plus 10,000 CIFS shares, or b) 5,000 NFS exports plus 20,000 CIFS shares. These limits are cluster-wide, not per-node.
Thank you Simon for being very specific. I think this answer helps.
