Can any one please explain what is the difference bettween CCI Group and Consistency Group in HUR and specify any docs where I can read the explanation.
What is the best practice to use each of them?
They're related, but different.A CCI Device group is a logical grouping of devices in CCI that allow you to address several volumes at once. The array knows nothing about CCI device groups, but instead depends on CTG. A CTG is an array-assigned numerical identifier for a group of devices frequently used to identify volumes that need to be split (TC/HUR/SI) at the same point in time. The CTG can only be assigned to a CCI device group with the paircreate command.
It is recommended to keep these in a one-to-one ratio. One CCI devgroup per CTG.
