What are the requirements for pool-Vols to expand DP Pool?

I would like to know the exact requirements for Pool Volumes that can be used to increase DP Pool capacity by adding the volumes to the pool.

I've found some informations in Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform Provisioning Guide for Open Systems https://support.hds.com/download/epcra/rd702214.pdf

Notes on using Dynamic Provisioning

If Mixable is set to Enabled, notes on adding the pool-VOL to the pool are as follows:

• The internal volume, and the external volume whose Cache Mode is set to Disable cannot coexist.

• The external volume whose Cache Mode is set to Enable, and the external volume whose Cache Mode is set to Disable cannot coexist.

If Mixable is set to Disabled, notes on adding the pool-VOL to the pool as follows:

• Pool-VOLs of different RAID levels cannot coexist.

• The internal volume and external volume cannot coexist.

However, I created the volume that satisfied the above, and the volume was not in the list

What can be the reason for that? The volume is a normal volume, not a thin provisioned volume. For example, is there the restriction for the volume size?

Thank you,

Andrei
