this is really only partially correct...
The SSH login is for service and maintenance personnel only, Hitachi Vantara and Authorized Partners.
Why? you might ask? Because - this is intended to be a compliance appliance, and we would not be able to protect a customer's data immutably if server nodes were being adjusted in production.
If you want to manage the HCP via scripts or an API, there is a fully featured RESTful API, thoroughly documented in the customer documentation, along with comprehensive examples and explanations.
If you thought the REST API was just for file transfers and bulk deletions, you'd only be partially there - in fact it is also for management of the system through authenticated calls at the system or tenant level. You can do essentially everything through MAPI that you can do through the UI, and scripting has the obvious advantages of being self documenting and reproducible, as well as schedulable.
In fact, if you visit the Hitachi University (aka Learning Center), and search for REST or 2764, a course will pop up for exactly that...
yes, we can manage HCP using CLI SSH. You need ppk file for authentication.
