Looking at the CLI man page it is showing that FC link is a cluster wide command.
Please let me know how to use this command to disable FC port in one of the node in cluster without affecting other nodes in the cluster.
To fire a command on a particular node you can use the following command
This command will give the fc-link-status on all 4 ports only on 1st node of the cluster
pn 1 fc-link-status
pn = physical node
1 = physical node 1
(or any other command that will want to run)
Even when specifying an individual node, changes to fc links are cluster wide. For instance, in a two node cluster, if you run pn 1 fc-link 3 disable, fc-link 3 on node 2 will also be disabled.
Yes, the behaviour is correct.
When you create a cluster, any changes will be cluster wide.
You cannot have HNAS nodes, with different nodes having different settings for either front or back end ports.
