We have a customer who has standardized on using port 8081 for a data center-wide security service that installs a local agent on each host. When starting HCI this conflicts with Chronos and HCI will not start.
The client is naturally pushing back on changing the port bound data-center wide, as the security product does not allow a per-host override of the port - only a global change that could impact more than a hundred hosts.
Is it possible to change the Chronos port, or can anyone think of a clever way to work around this?
I've thought of multiple NICs and can't find a way on the security software to specify a hostname to bind to.
