Using CLI, how can I get a list of all disks in an array, including size and speed of the drives. Also, is it possible to identify the spares the drives that are in use?
Thanks in advance...
Then it looks like you have HiCommand CLI.
Here's the Reference Guide for that CLI. Command Suite CLI Reference Guide - Hitachi Data Systems Knowledge
In the bellow examples I Bolded some of the Info you were looking for.
The "HiCommandCLI GetStorageArray" Command gives basic info:
An instance of StorageArray
description=R600 (10007) at 10.208.115.220
You would use the section on "GetStorageArray (subtarget=ArrayGroup)" to find out the information about the disks in a PG:
HiCommandCLI GetStorageArray -o "D:\logs\GetStorageArray_ArrayGroup.log" "subtarget=ArrayGroup" "model=VSP G1000" "serialnum=10182" "objectid=ARRAYGROUP.R800.10182.1.0"
. (Attributes of StorageArray are omitted here)
List of 1 ArrayGroup elements:
An instance of ArrayGroup
Which Model Array?Which CLI?
Well we have everything from ams2500's up to and including vsp g1000's... and as far as which CLI, I'm surprised to find out there is more than one... (LOL)... anyway, if i want to modify a vol label, I use this:
HiCommandCLI ModifyLabel "serialnum=nnnnn" "model=VSP" "devnums=xx:xx" "label=whatever"
Thanks Mark, I appreciate it!!!
