Whats the difference between the HID (Hitachi Infrastucture Director) and HCS (Hitachi Common Suite) ?
We can manage all Midrange VSP Gx00 systems with both, right?
Sharing this with the Hitachi Configuration Manager REST API space which may have some good answers.
Ok, i will do this.
We spoke with my trainer and here is the correct answer:
HID is an old name, we used this name untilversion 1.2In version 2.0 of this software It changed thename, today is: Hitachi Storage Advisor (HSA )But in the exam, If it appears aquestion, probably they will use the old name (Hitachi Infrastructure Director)It is an alternative to use Hitachi DeviceManager (HDvM). The target is the same: Provisioning, that is, to create Pools( HDP or HDT Pools ), create Virtual LDEVS and allocate LDEVs to the ServersThe difference between HID andHDvM is: HID tries to offer you the minimum of options: Simplicity
A Group of Softwares ( a Suite ) interrelatedbetween them. Part of this Suite:
It is part of the Hitachi Command Suite (previous )
But, it is only 1 of the products… It is notthe whole Suite
