Hi there. We have a Hitachi HNAS 3080-G2 that has been giving us some problems.
The scenario: Linux users (and some automatic Linux programs) sometimes create files on CIFS shares that begin or end in a "space" (i.e. " 012345.pdf" or "012345.pdf ")
The problem: Windows users on these same shares (through SMB) cannot delete these files, since Windows doesn't know how to deal with a leading or trailing space in file names.
Ideally, we would like the HNAS to disallow the creation of files with these names. Is there any way to accomplish this? Thanks.
