Hi HAD Experts,

Im trying the "Deploy and Setup OS on Virtual Machine" on version 8.5.3 but it fails. It deploys the template but when it executes the second plugin it fails to set the IP address of the VM. I have removed open-vm-tools and installed native vmware tools on the template but still not luck

At this point the VM has been deployed from the Template but the vsphereInitOS plug fails

The vshereSetOSInfoLin fails with the following:

The  "Set-VM -VM $vm -OsCustomizationSpec $osCustomSpec -Confirm:$false" in line 499 of the powershell script "vsphereSetOsinfoLin.ps1"

My first thought was that not all the required parameter are set, but all that the Template required are set. So Im not sure what Im missing. I have also attached the debug task log.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Kind Regards

Johnny
