"error":"client_too_new" attempting to get authentication token

I am trying to get an authentication token to enable further API calls, but having an issue with my statement

My curl statement looks like the following taken from the following documentation:

curl https://myHCPAnywhereInstanceDomain/fss/public/login/oauth -iku "myPlainTextUserName:myPlainTextPassword" -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" -H "Accept: application/json" -H "X-HCPAW-FSS-API-VERSION: 3.0.3" -d 'grant_type=urn:hds:oauth:negotiate-client'

And the response I receive looks like this

HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request

Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000; includeSubDomains

X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff

X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block

X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN

Content-Security-Policy: default-src 'self'; style-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'

X-Content-Security-Policy: default-src 'self'; style-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'

X-HCPAW-System-Id: xxxx-xxxxxxxx (hidden)

Content-Type: application/json;charset=UTF-8

Content-Length: 26

Date: Wed, 13 Dec 2017 15:54:32 GMT

Connection: close

Server: hcpaw

Some of the things I have checked

-Logged into the admin console and confirmed that this was version 3.0.3

-Followed the steps identified here to confirm that FSS is enabled:…

-wrote this out by hand, so the quotes used in my statement will not result in a cut/paste error

My questions are:

  1. Am I making this call correctly?
  2. If so, what does "client_too_new" mean and how can I correct it?
