Greetings,

I just noted that the AMS has iSCSI and I really have to ask why go down that path?  There has been lots of discussion on hundreds of web sites about iSCSI and so far I am not all that convinced.  Sure there are financial pressures to provide infrastructure at a good price but why go iSCSI when there are other well known and well established protocols around.

Eg, in a UNIX environment, why not keep with NFS?  Its simple and proven.

I have an open mind on this as my work is discussing using iSCSI for dev systems.  I just need to be convinced.....  Are there any iSCSI advocates out there willing to say it a great system?

Cheers

Stephen
