I'm using Kettle to import data from csv file to Oracle table. But now I face a date string which is like below:
18-SEP-17 11.47.18.032000 AM ASIA/SHANGHAI
And the corresponding field type in Oracle is Date or TimeStamp.
How could I handle this?
The first part of the string is easy to transform specifying the format the date is using. The problematic part would be the ASIA/SHANGHAI part, I don't think it is an standard way to specify the time zone, you'll have to build some kind of intermediate steps to transform it to something standard like UTC + 08:00 or something like that.
