HI,

Our Current setup contains 9570 connected to NSC55 externally for vitualization through 4 ports using WWN number (last 4 digit)

9570 PORTS         9570 WWN           NSC55      ports      NSC WWN
0A          1B70          3B     EC61
0B          1B71          7B     EC61
1A          1B72          4B     EC31
1B          1B73          8B     EC71

Total of 86 Luns are presented to NSC55 from 9570 from all the ports of each controller. From SAN health report  i could found that only two

path are utilizing more ( EX more then 100 MB of data ) remaining two paths re utilizing less ( EX. 11 MB )

Customer is facing slow backup issue.

Now i would like to do the LUN balancing through universal volume manager of NSC. One of our senior engineer has suggested to do the

In the current case, if you  observe only one port per controller being used.

1)       Identify the External LUNs owned by controller 0   ( Identfied )

2)       Reconfigure those LUNs in NSC-UVM; make 0A as priority path for half and 0B as priority path for remaining half (At NSC UVM)

3)       Identify the External LUNs owned by controller 1   ( Identfied )

4)       Reconfigure those LUNs in NSC-UVM; make 1A as priority path for half and 1B as priority path for remaining  half (At NSC UVM)

This would ensure all the four external paths get used.

So i would like to to know how to this procedure online and how to use UVM here to configure the ports with respect to UVM.

Can any one suggect me how to proceed here.
