I heard something today that has sparked my interest and hopefully someone can answer this.  Are there specific fibre channel switches that you have to use when doing virtualisation of storage to a USP?  In particular, lets say I have a bunch of Sun 3510's and Qlogic SANbox 2-16 switches.

I have some serious doubts that virtualisation is not possible with Qlogic switches.  I have used Cisco and Brocade switches in between my USP's and HDS 9585's and I think the Qlogic switches are just as good as the others as far as purely switching goes.  The only thing that I could possibly think of is that Qlogic can't handle FC-AL loops and work only in point to point.
