In our current fabric we have 2 MDS switches ( 9216's ) and 4 MDS Directors ( 9500's ) , one of the 9216s is the PRINCIPAL switch of the fabric. We are at present in a project to REMOVE the 9216's but we need to make one of the MDS9500's the PRINCIPAL switch..

We have a VSAN that runs through the MDS9500's up to the 9216's in one building and through to the other building to the 9216's and then down to the 9500's..

So my question is - Can this be done without the fabric going through an INTRUSIVE re-configure, or not ?

I have only read that an intrusive re-configure is available to us ??

Any thoughts / workarounds welcome...
