I have determined that the Windows store has a major issue (only on some servers) with its log file or perhaps a socket getting locked by eTrust and causing the store to be busy all the time and causing major delays with the server polling the agent. As soon as the virus scanner is killed, everything works well but as it respawns relatively quickly, the issue appears again. I have excluded the HiCommand directory from any virus scanning but something is locking the files and screwing everything up. It seems to have been introduced with version 2.0 of the agent store as pre 5.5, this never happened.
HDS has been working on this for months but I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. 20 percent of my Windows agents don't work due to this agent store issue and eTrust and I can't turn off virus scanning.. pity.
