I have two HTnM 6.1 servers (they were 6.0) and as this happens on both servers, I thought it can't be a single occurrence.
IF an agent on a server (mine are all Windows) has a problem and it stops (such as disk space filling up on the drive the agents sits on or the server goes down for hardware maintenance), the HTnM server is more likely to look at that problem and totally give up on the other polling for the rest of that cycle.
I get an email message saying..
An attempt to perform polling has failed. (maintenance information = 258)
To find out what agent caused the issue, I have to go trawling through logs on the actual server as the HTnM GUI gives no indication of what the problem is.
I hoped this might have been fixed in the change to 6.1 but it doesn't appear to have been. Its starting to bet annoying. Version 5 of Tuning Manager server had some problems but at least it would keep polling.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?
Generally I think version 6 is excellent but this issue is not good.
