Up to now the allocation of the dataset to be sent and the dataset to be received has been done on the mainframe. The customer would like to be able to allocate the return dataset from within his Solaris scripts.
He has tried using the FCU command allocds but gets an error message 'Available volume is not found for formatting' because he is not using an OPEN-x volume but a 3390-9A, so that it can be accessed by the mainframe. Is this a restriction or is there a workaround?
