The instructions in Section "Settings Required for Email Notification" of Chapter 6 "Settings on the Device Manager Server" appear pretty straight forward but I can get no indication of life for mail being sent.
Does anyone have experience with this? Are there any undocumented assumptions (prereqs) I might have missed or any instructions that I might have interpretated incorrectly. (For testing this is pretty basic - add SMTP server address in server.properties, add email address to "system" account, restart HDvM&common services)
Win 2K3, HDvM 6.2,
- no email authentication for SMTP server, firewall sorted - able to post mail with other apps from same server.
- even tried an invalid SMTP and email addresses to see if I could generate KAIC00407-E, KAIC00408-E or similar
TIA - appreciate any pointers ...
