I need a bit of help configuring Tuning manager agents.
We are installing Tuning Manager 6.2 and I have configured the server and install agent for SAN and RAID on the management server. I am now installing the agents and we have a SQL Server Cluster and an Exchange Cluster. Now as I understand it if we need continuity of stats we need to setup the agents to use a shared disk to store data and use logical hostname and not run a separate instance on the individual hosts.
Is it correct that the performance data is stored locally and not centrally on the server?
Which agents need to store data on a shared disk?
The doco only mentions SQL server agent but what about Agents for Windows, RAID Map and Exchange?
Do they need to be setup on shared storage as well?
Any help much appreciated.
