All - I'm wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue and knows what the fix might be. Recently we have had three instances where a Windows 2003 VM with an RDM has the following issue. We receive an alert from the guest via SCOM that the guest has run out of space or is low on space. Looking in My Computer shows that the disk has more free space than the actual amount of disk space provisioned. In the most recent case the RDM was 100GB and the free space was showing as 192GB. A quick look in diskpart showed the disk as 100GB in size and 7MB of free space. A reboot will normally correct the issue.
The environment is:
Array: HDS USPVM and AMS 2500 - Tiered Storage model w/ HDP.
Host: VMware ESXi 4.1 (round robin)
Guest: Windows 2003 SP2 - 32bit
