Hi,

I have some S-VOLs attached to a Windows 2008 server and when replication is split, I can access S-VOLs. When I rebooted my server while S-VOLs were accessible to it, CHKDSK invoked and found some errors and started to do the following task for a couple of hours:
"replacing invalid security id with default security id".

When server came back online, I could not access some files and directories with the following error message:
"The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"

I checked the issue and found that security permission was completely unavailable on those files, that's why they are not accessible:
"The requested security information is either unavailable or can't be displayed"

I assigned the S-VOLs to another server and all file were fine and accessible with correct permission settings.

I guess there is some caching on NTFS status which is not refreshed on Windows 2008 server and prevents to access the files.

Please assist me how to resolve this issue.
