Is there any additional information (other than the admin guide) as to how permissions work when a directory is accessible from both Windows and Linux? (Our logins are all centralised through NIS.)
I'm seeing some very odd behaviour - for example, after I do any permission changes in Linux, when I go into the Windows permissions I get an error that the permissions were ordered incorrectly. Then when I go into advanced permissions, there are a bunch of additional entries, many of which are for the same groups that were already there, but with “special permissions” checked instead. And some of them are “Deny” entries.
