AMS2100 : better to have SAS in the first tray ?

Hello,

We have an AMS2100 with 5 trays.

The first 3 trays contain SATA drives (almost not used), the last 2 trays contain SAS drives (with lots of IOPS).

We don't have great performance on the SAS drives.

After reading this document:

(especially the "Figure 2" about the AMS design), I am wondering if we would get better performance by placing the SAS in the first tray (controller tray).

Any idea about that ?

With this design, how many disks can deliver I/O at the same time ?

Thanks!
