Is the system currently only awarding points for completed missions and not correct answers?
There are two different points systems in Jive - the 'native' system accrues points for actions:
but is currently (in our environment) only available via Community Manager Reports.
Currently we have chosen to display points from the Jive Gamification Module from Bunchball, which is driven by missions. We are discussing how best to move forward with points.
I think that the settings are only for completed Missions and not answered questions. From talking to Donna yesterday I know that there are thoughts on new missions, but the concept of additional points for "answerereds" and "helpfuls" should be brought up for sure. Donna Garber any thoughts on Cris comment above?
I assume this still has something to do with the problem I identified during the UAT2?
Yeah. We are still working out a few kinks, but I think we have it. At this point it is more about the underlying philosophy about what should and shouldn't earn points - and what they mean.
Fair enough, I'm happy to provide feedback
Why not creating a poll about this?
I thought for a minute doing it myself but I do not know the possible options and of course the HDS Community council has to define the boundaries first.
Like Michael and Cris I like the idea of more options to earn points and would be happy to vote and provide input.
It isn't as simple as a poll. The whole concept of gamification is tied to behavioural analysis and human motivation. There are strong scientific underpinnings to it. I think we have the normal Jive Points covered; there is a deeper discussion needed that has system implications about the extent to which we can/should integrate Jive Points with Bunchball points, what missions we need to build to support both community and company objectives, when they need to be implemented in sync with invitation mailings, etc. etc. etc.
Thanks for the explanation.
